- Judges are not here to scare your or intimidate you. Their job is to understand your science fair experience and what you learned from this experience.
- Judges will use a rubric to assess how well you understand your project. They will ask questions to gain information about how well you understand your project. (see below)
- You will have anywhere from 2-3 judges that will ask your questions while looking at your display board.
- You need to bring your display board, science fair packet and science fair abstract (completed in english) to judging.
- Please stay with your board the entire judging period. Bring a book to read or homework to work on during the time between judges.
- Dress to impress your judges!
- Common questions asked by judges:
- What is your research question?
- What inspired you to pick this topic?

- Describe your procedure--what did you measure?
- What were your results? How many trials did you complete?
- How would you improve your experiment? [2 or more suggestions needed]
- Did anyone help you with your science fair experiment? [explain what you did and what others did to support you]
- How does this project affect YOU or other people?
